Warwick Road Church Centre Meals
The re-opening of the café is much anticipated. We are continuing with our plans to
offer meals in the Church Centre, with the meal delivery service drawing to a close
exactly one year after we started. Starting on 2 July, the café will open every
Tuesday and Friday from 10 am until about 1.30 pm.
Lunch will be served from 12 noon. In addition, a limited snack menu will be
available from 10 am, as well as the usual choice of drinks. Tea and coffee will be
offered free with all meal deals (main and pudding). The same charges apply as
with the delivery service (£4 main, £2 pudding).
Pre-booking, whilst not essential, is advised. There will be the option to order
additional meals to take away. Unlike the delivery service, where meals were
ordered a week in advance, there will be a limit on the number of meals served on
any particular day. However, as we now plan to use the actual café, there will also
be a limit on the number of guests allowed in at any one time. While social
distancing rules apply, we will have to allow sufficient space between tables.
The usual rules covering restaurants and cafés will have to be followed, which
currently means table service only, wearing masks except when seated at a table
and not wandering about chatting to other people.
As many similar businesses have done, we are considering moving to a cashless
operation, so we would prefer card payment. This will be taken at your table as soon
as you arrive rather than after you have eaten.
