Volunteers needed on the first Wednesday of the month from 12:30 – 5:00 pm
The volunteer would be helping to set up the Film Club event once a month by setting out tables and chairs (for up to 40 people); making sure there is sufficient crockery and cutlery set out; serving ice creams in the interval and serving tea and coffee after the film.
Cakes will be baked beforehand by our chef but will need to be arranged on plates before our guests start arriving at 1:30pm.
The volunteer will need to help clear tables afterwards and take dirty dishes to the kitchen. They will help to wash or dry up, and also fill and empty the dishwasher. Crockery and cutlery will need to be put away after the film.
What skills and interests are required and what could a volunteer gain from being involved?
We would look for committed volunteers with good people and communication skills, and an interest in catering.
They would gain confidence from serving and dealing with people in a friendly and supportive environment, and the experience of working in a team.
Volunteers would benefit from free food and being able to watch the film for free.
